In November 2019 Wells & Mendip Museum submitted an application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for ‘Search & Learn’: a project designed to reinvigorate the museum through the installation of new displays and an associated programme of activities. The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK, and associated upheaval in 2020 and 2021, meant that the grant could not be officially announced until September 2021.
Our speaker, Victoria Northwood is an archivist and heritage professional. She is based in Dorset and combines her
current part-time role at Wells & Mendip Museum with freelance work in London and the South West. Victoria will reflect on the progress of ‘Search & Learn’ over the past 18 months and consider the way in which the pandemic has impacted the original vision for the project. She will share learning from the partnership work which has underpinned the activities programme, and insights from the interim evaluation report prepared by Melita Armitage.
Tickets are £2.75 and are available for members only.
It is free to join the South West Fed, click here to join and receive your membership number, which you will need in order to book.
