In this first event in the series, join Philip Walker, Head of Culture at Gloucester City Council to hear about some of the ways that the sector responded to Covid 19 and lessons learned using examples of how the cultural and heritage sector in the city managed to adapt to the changing circumstances. For example, the Museum of Gloucester and other heritage partners found innovative ways to continue to connect with communities and engage them with culture remotely.

Philip has worked in the culture sector, first as an artist, exhibition curator & event producer in Bristol for over 25 years. He has worked on the infamous Banksy vs Bristol Museum exhibition, helped to develop MShed, Bristol and supported St Pauls Carnival in its revival. Passionate about connecting people with culture – he is now leading the cultural services in Gloucester – including Gloucester Guildhall, the Museum of Gloucester, Blackfriars - a medieval priory – and festivals, events and destination marketing for the city.

There will be an opportunity to ask Philip questions at this session.

You will need your membership number in order to book a ticket.
